The poor condition of the Nasarawa-Keffi road has become a significant concern for daily users and the government, as it serves as the main link to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja. Many who travel this road confirm that it has turned into a dangerous area, posing accident and security risks that threaten lives and property. A considerable number of individuals prefer to use public transport over driving their own cars on this road, as the road’s poor state leads to vehicle damages and higher repair costs, making it economically burdensome. The road accident occurrence in Keffi-Nasarawa roads is recorded with high frequency in weekly data analysed and for accident daily 20.83%, weekly has 38.33%, monthly 28.33%, and 12.5 annually. This is due to the nature of the road been so bad and unsafe for travellers.
